Seat for Honda VF 750S
New saddle for Honda VF 750S
In 1981 at the Milan show, among the many innovations, Honda also presented two models equipped with a totally new 90° V4 engine, water cooled, DOHC 4 valves.
It's the beginning of the story.
The VF 750 S proves to be a very versatile motorcycle with a highly technological engine: fluid, powerful and free from vibrations, excellent braking, good finishes and great riding ease despite the weight of 232 kg. The top speed was just over 200 km/h, in line with the competition of the time.
In addition to the almost revolutionary engine, the merits also lay in the incredible instrumentation for the amount of data it provided through numerous spies.
AS Design has worked on one of these specimens, to build an ad hoc saddle.
Before starting the actual work, we cellophaned and taped the rear of the bike to protect it from the work ahead.
and we made the shell in fiberglass
We then moved on to working on the padding.
And to draw the guidelines for building the patterns.
With the help of the patterns, we made the faux leather lining.
And we covered the padding, making it fit like a glove.
And this is the finished work, mounted on the bike.
E In the photo you can see the slender profile of the saddle.
The customer has chosen to further customize the saddle with a design to be quilted.
