Seat for Benelli 250 2C electronics
Remaking of a saddle for an electronic MOTO BENELLI 250 2C
An all-Italian motorcycle is the Benelli 2C. Equipped with a two-stroke in-line twin-cylinder engine, it was produced in various versions from 1972 to 1985, also with the MotoBi and Moto Guzzi brands.
When it came out on the market, at a price of 435,000 Lire, it was immediately appreciated by motorcyclists for its outstanding performance (almost 150km/h top speed and traffic-light-busting acceleration). The more than 15,000 units sold confirm the enormous success of this motorcycle, extremely modern for its time. Its strengths lay in the beautiful line, in the attention to detail unknown to other bikes and in the power of the engine.
When it arrived in our workshop, the customer had already made some small changes and what he was asking of us was a "non-invasive" restyling of the saddle, in order to maintain its classic line.
We made the mold, creating it directly on the bike.
Subsequently, the saddle was built from scratch, with the fiberglass shell, with the right conformations, in order to fit perfectly on the bike.
The creation of an anchor fixture allowed us to give a solidity and stability to the project.
As for the padding, we were then asked to raise the passenger seat slightly.
The customer chose black leather for his bike, with striped quilting on the pilot seat.
This is what the finished work looked like: a classic, clean, linear project.
A bike for every day, but also suitable for small out-of-town trips.
Very comfortable saddle with a pure line. 100% satisfied customer.
The same saddle can be adapted to other similar projects.
